Project Design: In order for the proper execution of an asbestos abatement operation, the project must have a proper design.
Contractor Supervisor: For the day to day supervision of the designed project, the accredited and licensed contractor supervisor must oversee and direct the projects activities. Successful graduate are also awarded the rank of OSHA Competent Person which is required on all abatement projects.
Building Inspector: The task of the inspector is paramount to the entire crew. For without the thorough gathering of information about the building homogeneous areas and asbestos containing materials, the other members can not perform their duties to their abilities. the building inspector will generate a report which is used by all other members of the team.
Management Planner: Using the inspection report the planner will take the physical determination to ascertain a hazard determination of the said building and it's ACM. Thereby generating a management plan with which the project designer may draw a design. An operations and maintenance program will be drafted for all remaining asbestos and a removal design will be composed for the abatement of said hazards.
Abatement Worker : Under the guidance of the contractor supervisor the workers will carry out the removal, encapsulation, or encasement of the said asbestos hazard, as and within the scope of the project design.
O & M: A 16 hour course instruction on operating and maintenance of the asbestos that remains in the building.
Asbestos Awareness: Required for all personnel whether working with asbestos or being an occupant in the building. A 2 hour course giving information about the health effects of inhaling asbestos particles and the identification of where the possible building materials may exist with in the building allowing for a safer environment for all occupants. |
